Full-stack marketplace connecting store owners with brands

Next.jsTypeScriptSupabasePostgreSQLStripe Connect

Overview

Built a production-ready marketplace platform during my internship at Tech Incubator at Queens College, New York. RentAShelf connects store owners with brands looking to rent shelf space, enabling a new retail model for product placement and local distribution.

Technical Highlights

  • Custom Stripe Connect Pipeline: Engineered a multi-party payments system handling complex financial flows between marketplace, store owners, and brands with automatic commission splits and payout scheduling.

  • Production Full-Stack Architecture: Built with Next.js and TypeScript on the frontend, Supabase (PostgreSQL) for the backend, implementing real-time inventory tracking and booking management.

  • Live Deployment: Shipped to production at rentashelf.co, handling real transactions and user accounts.

Achievement

Shipped as a live product during 6-week internship (Dec 2024 - Jan 2025).
